Matthew Travis Eyet

Principal

Prior to founding Eyet Law in 2019, Matthew Eyet worked as a tax associate at WeiserMazars, where he provided taxpayer defense before the IRS and consulted on state and local tax issues. Additionally, Matthew spent five years as principal of  a boutique litigation and transactional firm in Bedminster, NJ.

Matthew received his law degree from Widener University School of Law, where he graduated summa cum laude and was the recipient of the Valedictorian Award. During law school, he participated in the Moot Court Honor Society and was a member of the Law Journal.  As a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, his team received the Best Brief Award at the Jerome Prince Evidence Competition at Brooklyn Law School.  Following his law degree, Matthew earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from New York University School of Law. Matt currently lives and works in New Brunswick, NJ, and he recently became a Board Member of New Brunswick City Market, Inc., which is a non-profit organization comprised of local stakeholders charged with overseeing and promoting business in the New Brunswick Special Improvement District.

Matthew represents clients on a multitude of issues, providing solutions to assist in every area of their business and personal lives, including tax issues, civil/administrative litigation, estate planning and business services.

Since becoming a lawyer, Matthew has always envisioned a firm where clients and their personal well-being came first. At Eyet Law, he has brought this vision to life with a firm designed to promote the “problem-solver” approach – where attorneys and their team can truly help people by looking at issues from every angle to come up with solutions.

Anika Chowdhuri

Lead Paraprofessional

Anika wears many hats at Eyet Law. As Lead Paraprofessional, she deals with all aspects of the legal process, including drafting, creating court documents and completing filings. Over time, her role with the firm has grown to an essential client-facing position that handles significant legal work. She is in frequent contact with clients, answering questions about details of the case and guiding them through the legal process.

She deals with matters including real estate closings, litigation, tax law and bankruptcy. From title insurance, to property surveys to court filings (briefs, notices and more), Anika has worked on many facets of these practice areas.

Anika also frequently assists the firm’s lawyers with research and the document drafting process, as well as with court proceedings, ensuring every detail and document is readily available and assessable when needed.

Like many others at the firm, Anika relates well to the problem-solver approach of Eyet Law and is always seeking new ways to assist clients.
